Why we dance
An exhibition about movement, space and interaction
Feet. They're good for getting up, moving around, and most certainly for dancing! But why are we dancing? This exhibition explores the idea of dancing as a two-way conversation that appeals to all of our senses and makes us aware of our bodies in space and, above all, in relation to others.
Why we dance is a one-day event that starts at 5 p.m. with a workshop by Liliana Torres to discover dance as a way of expression (open to everyone). The exhibition opens its doors at 6 p.m. and shows 6 videos by artists and collectives who deal with dance in the field of contemporary art: Seline Baumgartner (CH), Asphalt Piloten (CH), Las Ramonas (MEX - UK) and Irene Cantero (ES). During the exhibition, Irene Cantero and Las Ramonas will conduct two live dance performances. At the end of the evening there is a party to which everyone is invited to move their body the way they prefer.
This event is the first collaboration between the ExpoTranskultur association, la_capsula and Folium.

During the exhibition, Irene Cantero and Las Ramonas will be in charge of two live dance performances. To finalize the evening, there will be a party, where everyone is invited to move their body in the way they best please.
